Tools Needed:

  pasta machine (if available)
  non-stick craft sheet
heat source (Hot Pot, Mini Skillet or Toaster Oven)
  texture mat
  roller
  1/4” cushion
  nylon jaw pliers
  wire cutter
  pencil with eraser

Supplies Needed:

  Enamel ARTZ Gemstone Powders
  white polymer clay (Kato)
  mini frames
  2 pieces 18” beading wire (Accu-Flex)
  18 silver beads (5mm-3mm)
  2 crimp beads
  toggle clasp

Step 1
Condition your clay by running through your pasta machine, folding and running through again. Repeat 6-7 times.
-or- warm your clay up in your hand and work with it until it is pliable.

Step 2
Roll clay out very thin. Setting 3 on Amoco pasta machine.

Step 3
a. Lay clay on non-stick craft sheet, dust texture mat with
mica powder or another release agent. Place texture mat over clay.
Roll from the middle out to the edges. This must be done
heavily so your texture will show.
b. Peel back the mat from the clay. Peel clay off non-stick sheet.

Step 4
a. Place clay over 1/4” cushion.
b. Push mini frames through the clay. Using your pencil eraser press
the edges down until the frames are cutting through the clay and
the prongs are into the cushion.
c. Peel excess clay away.
d. Pry the mini frames off the cushion. Press slightly on the back of the clay with your pencil eraser to dome your ‘beads’ a bit.

Step 5
a. Place all of the ‘beads’ (in their frames) onto a non-stick craft sheet and then into your melting pot.
(a mini skillet or toaster oven can be used also).
b. Cover and bake at 270 degrees for 5 minutes.
c. Take out of pot and pop the clay out of the frames using your pencil eraser.

Step 6
a. Place the clay pieces on a non-stick craft sheet. Place them back in your melting pot.
b. Sprinkle Enamel ARTZ powders over your clay pieces as desired.
c. Cover and let melt.
d. Take out of pot and let pieces cool.

Step 7
Peel pieces off the non-stick craft sheet removing any enamel that may have melted over edges.
Place clay pieces back in frames. If you have any trouble fitting them you can trim the edges as needed.

Step 8
Bend all of the prongs in slightly on all of your beads by pressing the prongs against something hard.

To string the bracelet, start by finding the middle of one of your beading wire pieces. Run wire around edge on one half of the large oval bead only. Using your nylon jaw pliers, bend the prongs all the way over catching the wire under it.

Different shapes of frames have different prong placement.
Some of the prongs will need to be bent over without catching the wire due to placement of shapes.
Start in the middle and go to each end. Be sure to string the metal beads in and keep the beads tight together.

Step 9
Wrap around your wrist to be sure it is long enough. If it isn’t, add more silver beads to the ends.

String a crimp bead over the two wires. String the bar on, go back through the crimp bead.
Pull tight. Squeeze the crimp bead tight using a crimping tool or pliers.
Trim extra wire close to the crimp bead.
String the ring side of the toggle clasp in the same way.
